In early August this year, The 11th China International Garden Expo Children's Pavilion, designed by PMA, shortlisted for the 2020 WAN Awards. This project was designed by Mr. Wang Chuan, the principle architect and partner of PMA.
WAN Awards, also known as World Architecture News Awards, established in 2005, is now one of the largest international architectural awards in the world. It invites famous international experts to serve as judges every year and creates an adequate evaluation system.
The WAN Awards includes about 30 categories each year. Our project shortlisted in the Colour in Architecture category. There are 4 firms shortlisted in this category this year.
In this project, PMA hoped to create an unrestrained children's activity and exhibition space with overall continuous but changing characteristics. Finally, such variation forms a seamless connection among facade color, facade form and internal function.
Some well- known architecture offices like Tadao Ando Architect & Associates, Foster + Partners, MAD Architects, 3XN also shortlisted for the 2020 WAN Awards.
